Description
Garmin GMR Fantom 24x Black Radome Radar
A black 24-inch solid-state radome for a compatible Garmin marine network. MotionScope Doppler processing colour-codes moving returns so approaching and receding targets are easier to distinguish. The 24x is a radar sensor, not a self-contained display or chartplotter package.
Radar performance
- 50 W peak radar output with a specified range from 6 m to 48 nautical miles.
- Up to 60 RPM rotation and a 3.7° horizontal beam width.
- Target-size adjustment, echo trails and power-saving/timed-transmit features support different operating conditions.
- 10–32 V DC input; maximum listed normal transmitting consumption 33 W. Black radome operating range: −25°C to 55°C.
- Radar weight: 7.89 kg.
Package and integration
Includes the black GMR Fantom 24x radome, 15 m power cable, 15 m network cable, mounting hardware/template and installation instructions. A compatible Garmin chartplotter is required and is not included. Check network connection compatibility and any required adapters before installation. Heading-dependent functions require suitable heading data.
Installation and safe use
Professional marine installation is recommended. Follow RF separation, compass clearance and mounting requirements in the manual; retain the specified inline fuse. Never look directly into a transmitting antenna at close range. Radar is an aid and does not replace a proper lookout, safe navigation or applicable ship-radio licensing.
Manufacturer warranty
