Description
Fusion Signature SG-DA51600 5-Channel Marine Amplifier
The Signature SG-DA51600 is a Class D marine amplifier providing four full-range channels and a dedicated subwoofer channel. RCA inputs and accessible setup controls make it suitable for a correctly designed marine audio system using compatible speakers and a source unit with suitable pre-outs.
Power and system design
- 80 W RMS × 4 plus 250 W RMS × 1 at 4 Ω; 130 W RMS × 4 plus 330 W RMS × 1 at 2 Ω, specified at 1% THD+N.
- 1600 W is the stated peak-power figure, not its continuous RMS output.
- Independent front/rear-zone filtering and dedicated subwoofer adjustments.
- 300 × 210 × 50 mm amplifier chassis.
- Marine-oriented construction with a stainless-steel cover and conformal-coated circuitry.
Installation scope
This listing is for the SG-DA51600 amplifier and standard supplied installation accessories. Stereo head unit, speakers, subwoofers, RCA leads, power cabling and vessel-specific protection hardware are not a complete included system. Match speaker impedances and continuous-power handling to the selected channel arrangement, then set gains and crossovers correctly. The amplifier needs suitable ventilation and electrical protection even when fitted inside a boat.
Installation and safe use
Use a protected, ventilated mounting location, correctly sized marine cabling and the specified near-battery fuse or circuit breaker. Disconnect power before wiring; keep connections protected against short circuits. The manual specifies two 40 A amplifier fuses; replacements must be the correct type and rating. Avoid mounting beside safety-critical navigation or radio equipment. Marine construction is not a claim that this amplifier is waterproof. Excessive listening levels can damage hearing.
Manufacturer warranty
Garmin EMEA Audio Warranty Policy Rev. B (February 2025), section 1.1 and Appendix 1 (Signature Series amplifiers), provides three years from first retail purchase for defects in material or workmanship in normal use. Garmin decides repair or replacement. Proof of purchase and an authorised RMA are required; customer pays insured transport to Garmin. Standard coverage does not pay onboard labour or travel. Follow the installation manual. Misuse, improper installation, unsuitable accessories, unauthorised alterations/repairs, altered serial numbers, electrical or environmental damage, normal wear and the full policy exclusions apply. Notify Garmin within the warranty period. Statutory rights remain. Certified onboard coverage requires separate approved-installation evidence and is not included as a promise.
